Logan Square is a popular neighborhood on Chicago’s northwest side that blends historic charm with a modern, artistic vibe. Known for its iconic boulevards, stately greystones, and the Illinois Centennial Monument, this neighborhood has a lot to offer its residents. Logan Square hosts events throughout the year, including the Logan Square Arts Festival and the Milwaukee Avenue Arts Festival. You can also visit the Logan Theatre, a vintage cinema that showcases independent and cult films. With its mix of green spaces like Palmer Square Park and restaurants, bars, and shops along North Milwaukee Avenue, there’s always something to do while living in Logan Square.

Logan Square is home to so many wonderful small businesses: homey bars, wacky boutiques, cozy coffee shops, and everything in between. Our advice is to take a walk around the boulevard, poke your head into every spot that catches your eye, and say hi! Our neighborhood offers that small-town feel in the big city, with neighbors who care and friends to be made.
My family and I have lived in Logan for 14 years and I’ve had the shop for about 5. I love so many things about the neighborhood. Some of my favorites are the LS Farmer’s Market, the Logan Theatre, Webster’s Wine Bar, Reno, Lula Cafe, Fleur & Wolfbait & B-Girls. My son attends the neighborhood school; Brentano Math & Science Academy and we love it.
You can easily access Logan Square via two main train stops along the Blue Line (the California stop and the Logan Square Stop) which make it super easy to get to both downtown and O’Hare from anywhere in the neighborhood. I also love all the tree lined green spaces, the Boulevards and the multiple parks: Palmer Square Park, Logan Monument, Koz Park, and more. I truly believe Logan Square is the best neighborhood in Chicago.
The perfect day in Logan Square begins with a run on the 606 trail, followed by coffee and a donut at Stan’s. Then read a book in the sun on Logan Boulevard, grab a burger and shake at Small Cheval. After that, check out the latest exhibit at Chicago Gamespace video game museum. Cap off the day with a mind blowing dinner ant Longman and Eagle followed by dancing at Slippery Slope.
Logan Square is known for its great parks, incredible local dining scene, the famous Logan Square Farmers Market, its gorgeous tree-lined boulevards, and some of the city’s most beautiful historic homes. A great balance for those seeking an eclectic urban lifestyle combined with community.
